This is article 14 .
Equality before Law states that in a country all should be treated equally and the state should not discriminate against any religion ,race ,caste or sex .
According Equal protection of the law means everybody who resides in India should be treated equally and will get equal protection of the law.
It guarantees all people inside the territory of India equal treatment and ensures the state cannot deny them the same .
This explanation of Article 14 needs to be read carefully as it has some very interesting implications .
One implication is that discrimination against Hindus especially in Educational instructions is Legal .this can be seen from the line which states that unequal people can’t be clubbed together for the reasons of equality .
This means that majority can’t ask to be treated on par with minorities . What they can ask for is to be treated on par with other members of the majority community .
Originally Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist and Parsi communities were regarded as minorities . In Jan 2014 the UPA Government explicitly awarded the status of a “minority religion” to the Jain community also
